Early Newsletter For April 1st

By Cheval John

The last couple of weeks, I was in training at a side work while building my business.

So I am readjusting to the normal routine of posting articles here.

Today, you will get an early newsletter for the month of April from trusted sources.

Here there are now:

32 Powerful Women Share the Advice They’d Give Their Younger Selves-Nina Zipkin of Entrepreneur

Internet Trailblazer Jean Case Shares How to Make Your Failures Matter-Nina Zipkin of Entrepreneur

How These Young Entrepreneurs Take Advantage of Their Co-Working Space-Rose Leadem of Entrepreneur

As a bonus, here is an episode I did on the importance of Twitter Chats

Forward Thinking Companies Look “Backwards”

By Cheval John

We are told to not dwell on the past.

That is very sound advice because we might be missing out on the possibilities of improving ourselves and our business.

It is the same thing with old social media advice regarding certain tactics to grow our audience.

These tactics which worked in the past will not work right now because social media changes all the time.

Sometimes, it might be good to look at the past because you can appreciate the journey to being where you are right now in your business and life.

Have you notice why users of WordPress see their blog posts archived from most recent to the oldest?

Or your podcast archive from the newest to the very first episode?

You might also see on Twitter and Facebook the posts going “backwards” too.

Mel Robbins‘ message on the Video Advice YouTube channel, gives a deeper explanation indirectly on why it is important to look backwards in order to move forward.

Hope you enjoy.

Madalyn Sklar: Online Community Builder and Social Media Influencer

By Cheval John

Starting today, I will be posting about each of the podcast episodes from What’s The Word? here on the blog.

You will be seeing snippets of videos from the Vallano Media TV’s YouTube channel in addition to the full episode which airs on BlogTalkRadio.

The videos are edited from Blue Jeans Network, which I use to record the majority of the podcast on Facebook Live.

The original blog posts will continue as always.

Today’s podcast episode features Madalyn Sklar, host of the #TwitterSmarter podcast and Twitter Chat.

Madalyn is a social media influencer who has built online communities in the age of the internet and now social media.

She started #TwitterSmarter podcast in early 2015 as a way to find out from experts their number one twitter tips people can use to grow their audience.

The podcast became so popular she decided to create a Twitter chat with the same name and it grew even more popular.

Madalyn was also among the first people in Houston to use Twitter in 2007.

In this episode, you will hear:

The history lesson of the formation of social media

What led her to start Go Girls Music Online Community

How she was among the first to live tweet an event at South By Southwest in 2008

How running Go Girls Music Twitter Chat prepared Madalyn to have “immediate” succuss with the current #twittersmarter twitter chat.

September Newsletter

By Cheval John

I missed the deadline of publishing this newsletter and I am sorry.

The adoptive city of Houston and most of the Texas Gulf Coast recently went through what many called the worst flooding in United States history due to Hurricane Harvey.

This city and state always pull through the toughest times and this is no different.

In this newsletter, you will hear how you can help many houston area residents recover and heal from the floods in addition to the articles below.

Note: The first article is about a Houston company who are feeding the first responders and others in the recovery process from the storm.

Heroes In Houston: Cake and Bacon Feeding The Front Lines-Melany Berger of MelanyGuydlines
