I’m here to let you know that we have been an affiliate of Amazon.com since last year.
They are many affiliate programs out there that partner with websites to generate sales for them.
But Amazon is by far, the most trustworthy of them all because they operate their company with integrity and understands the customers needs.
I buy most of my stuff, meaning books, online from Amazon and I can honestly say that I would not shop anywhere else.
That is the main reason why we are an affiliate of Amazon and I’m here to say that if you see an article that has an asterisk next to a word, that means that it will have come from a book that is sold on Amazon.com and it will be a disclaimer at the end of the article that says that.
Also, I will not recommend a book that I haven’t read yet because I don’t want to be a person who misleads my readers to do something that I haven’t done yet.

Pair of Bearkats Set To Compete In NCAA Finals

Competition in the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field championships begins Wednesday at historic Hayward Stadium in Eugene, Oregon.
Sam Houston’s two entrants will book end the championships as Matt Johnson starts action in the decathlon Wednesday morning and Charles White will compete in one of the final events on Saturday in the triple jump.
Johnson enters the decathlon ranked No. 15 in the field of 24 with a season best mark of 7,496 points.
Four of last season’s top eight decathletes are back this season.
A pair of freshmen also look to compete for the title.
Johannes Jock of Texas is the top seed at 8,293, narrowly ahead of Maicel Uibo of Georgia at 8,223.
Indoor heptathlon national champ Kevin Lazas of Arkansas also is in the field.
Johnson earned his spot in the 2013 NCAA field by winning the Southland Conference championship in May in Lake Charles.
The decathlon will begin at 12 noon (Pacific time) Wednesday, June 5, with the 100 meters.
Other events on Wednesday at the long jump, shot put, high jump and 400 meter dash.
Thursday, June 6, action begins at 11 a.m. (Pacific time) with the 110 hurdles, followed by the discus, pole vault, javelin and 1500 meters.
White will have to wait until the championship’s final day on Saturday, June 8, when the triple jump begins at 12:30 p.m. (Pacific time).
The runner-up at the Southland Conference in May, White finished 12th at the NCAA West Preliminary Round to qualify for the NCAA finals.
His mark of 51 feet, 3.5 inches ranks No. 15 among the event’s 24 competitors.
Teammates Marquis Dendy and Omar Craddock of Florida are the pair to beat in the triple jump.
Dendy won the 2013 NCAA indoor long jump champion title.
Craddock is the only triple jumper in the field to reach 54 feet this outdoor season.
Two others, Dave Brown of Texas A&M and Tarik Batchelor of Arkansas, both have jumped farther than 53 feet.
Johnson and White both have the opportunity to earn All-America honors.
The top eight finishers in each individual event as first team All-America honorees while ninth through 16th places receive second team selection.
SHSU Soccer Prepares For An Interesting Season

Sam Houston women’s soccer team will play a 19-match schedule in 2013 that includes eight home contests at Joseph Pritchett Field, Bearkat head coach Tom Brown has announced.
The Kats will kick off the 2013 season at home Sunday, August 25 against Texas Southern.
Sam Houston returns to Pritchett Field Sunday, September 8 to host Prairie View A&M.
Both games start at 7 p.m.
The rest of the home dates will be matches against Southland Conference foes in October with Stephen F. Austin, Lamar, Central Arkansas, Oral Roberts, A&M-Corpus Christi and Southeastern Louisiana all visiting Huntsville within a three week period.
The schedule features seven road non-conference matches as the Bearkats travel to UTSA, North Texas, Texas State, SMU, Abilene Christian and Incarnate Word.
Sam Houston also will play South Dakota State in San Antonio.
“It’s an unusual schedule this fall with nine road trips among our first 11 matches, then six straight home contests,” Brown said. “As in the past, we will be facing some outstanding programs during the non-conference portion of the schedule to get the team ready for Southland play.”
Sam Houston earned its fourth consecutive Southland Conference post-season tournament appearance last year, rolling up a 4-3-1 league mark.
The Bearkats return six starters including Southland Conference “Freshman of the Year” Kylie Hambleton.
Katie Ferrara, Tricia Mallory and Hambleton all earned all-league honors last season.
Hambleton ranked second in the conference in saves per game (5.36), third in save percentage (.843) and fourth in shutouts (6).
Ferrara was the team’s scoring leader with four goals.
Mallory stands as the program’s second all-time scoring leader with 22 career goals.
Other returning starters include Mariah Titus, Shelby McDaniel and Ashley Fluty.
With nine freshmen plus two transfers, the Bearkats look to have several new faces in the lineup.
