October Newsletter

By Cheval John

Can you believe it is October already?

This is a time for a fresh start to finishing this year strong.

It is also a special time because today is the fifth anniversary of when I moved my company blog Vallano Media, LLC to a self-hosted site using WordPress.org.

It was still the best decision to move from wordpress.com to a self-hosted site because of the opportunities to grow this blog while simultaneously build the business.

Though I lost viewership when the site was moved, it has grown slowly over the years and is poised for a breakout.

To keep up with tradition, here are articles for this month’s newsletter

September Newsletter

By Cheval John

I missed the deadline of publishing this newsletter and I am sorry.

The adoptive city of Houston and most of the Texas Gulf Coast recently went through what many called the worst flooding in United States history due to Hurricane Harvey.

This city and state always pull through the toughest times and this is no different.

In this newsletter, you will hear how you can help many houston area residents recover and heal from the floods in addition to the articles below.

Note: The first article is about a Houston company who are feeding the first responders and others in the recovery process from the storm.

July Newsletter: Canada Day

By Cheval John

Social media has reminded us of how connected we are in the world.

We are more aware of what is happening due to social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Since today is July 1st, I want to wish my friends a happy canada day as they are celebrating 150 years as a nation.

I also want to start this newsletter with the news of being named a Houston Top 25 Social Media Power Influencer for the second consecutive year.

It was through hard work and consistently providing value to my audience that allowed me to join fellow social media colleagues in the fourth largest city in the United States on this list.

Another milestone was having the opportunity to speak yesterday at Social Media Day Houston about why business owners should embrace live streaming.

The event occurred simultaneously with other events surrounding Social Media Day which started in 2010 by Mashable.

Thank you all for your support and here are the articles for this month’s newsletter starting off with the Houston Top 25 Social Media Power Influencer’s List
