Knowing multiple languages gives you more options to entertainment
If you know only one language and watching a major sporting event only on a specific channel due to media rights and it is an announcer you do not like you have no choice but to bear listening to them for the entire time
However if you are a multi lingual speaker and that same major sporting event is being broadcast on the channel of a target language you have plenty of options because you can enjoy the sporting event while listening in that foreign language
You will be surprised to find out about songs which you have heard your entire life might have been a re mix of the original
Or you might discover shows which gives you insight into the world of the mega rich and how they lives are really different from average people
There is an indian show which recently appeared last week
The synopsis is on a mega rich family who have an internal battle over the direction of the conglomorate
One of the members of the family resigned from the position 20 years ago after his first of three offspring was born because he did not want to his family around that lifestyle
He and his wife did not tell them about being a member of that mega rich family
By chance one of the loyal employees found him while seeking divine direction and tried to convince him to return which he failed
When the oldest offspring discovered the birth certificate of her true family history she asked if she was a member of that mega family which put the father and the wife in deep panic that he suffered an ailment
When he arrived at the hospital it was full and the surgeon was not there because he was about to get married
The doctors let them know there was nothing they could do
The wife decided to call the loyal employee of the mega rich family risking her offspring discovering their true identity
All of a sudden the surgeon arrived leaving his own wedding to revive the member under the orders of the oldest brother of the mega rich family
This scene alone showed the difference between the rich and the average
And I would not have know about these shows if it wasn’t for knowing foreign languages
