This blog post is in response to the question Natalie Sisson asked in the third day of her 15-day blog challenge, “Which One Social Media Tool Will You Use To Be Productive.

If you want to join in on Natalie’s blog challenge, you can click on the link here

When you see athletes being successful at the highest level, you might wonder how they make it look easy.

Like Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, who is now the National Football League (NFL) all-time leading passer in touchdowns.

You might wonder “how does Mr. Manning make it look so easy to dissect the defense on a mostly consistent basis?

What many might not know is that Mr. Manning prepares everyday for his opponent by watching game-film of the different defense formations, shows up early for practice and leaves late.

Peyton is super organized and that is why he really successful at the NFL.

What can we learn from elite athletes like Peyton Manning?

For starters, it is very important to be really organized because our brains can be at a million places.

Dr. Melissa Gratias explains it in this video below that was produced by MBG Organizing Solutions

In addition, the most successful people take the time out to plan out their day with to-do list the night before so that they can be laser focus on the task at hand.

The point is that with different social media tools that can help us to be really productive, there is no excuse on to why you can’t be productive.

For example, Natalie uses social media tools like Asana, Google Drive and Evernote to remain really organized with her business.

And since I want to be more organized, which has been a challenge, I will aim to use a lot of social media tools that will help me to stay productive.

As for today, I will start using Evernote again because it allows you to put reminders on important to do list like write 1,000 words or listen to a podcast.

Also, the representative from Evernote, Cristina Riesen took the time out of her busy schedule to showcase her expertise on a Twitter chat called #bizheroes a couple days ago.

That showed me Evernote’s dedication to their customers and I believed that if many businesses go out of their way to be where their fans or customers is at on social media, they will gain some new customers in the process.

So if you want to increase your productivity, you must be very organized.

Once you are organized, you will increase your chances at being successful just like Peyton Manning and Natalie Sisson.

The Most Successful Always Wakes Up Early

By Cheval John

I saw a link of a post on Facebook by my good friend, Tamara McCleary that said, “The Early Bird Gets The Worm.”

That was a great and cruel reminder on why it is always important to wake up early and get the most important work done right away.

Unfortunately, I did not followed that advice as I went back to sleep after waking up around 7:30 this morning

You see, when you wake up early and do the most important things like blogging, mediation, exercising, etc, you are setting yourself up for a very productive day.

Even if your day goes bad and of course, life happens, you will know how to handle it because you are in a right state of mind.

As a result of waking up late, I was in a rush to get things done like write this blog post for the second day of Natalie Sisson’s 15 day challenge and at the same time get in the processing of getting some of the 4,000 words as homework for a four week, self-publishing class that is being taught by Jimmy Burgess and Kimanzi Constable.

So after learning this brutal lesson on being productive when you wake up early, I will aim to wake up very early and get some writing done on my site for the rest of Ms. Sisson’s challenge and also as part of completing the homework assignment for the self-publishing class the first thing in the morning.

Even though it will be tempting to go back to sleep because of the “free time,” it will not be worth it because once you get something very important finished, you have all the time in the world to enjoy yourself and attend to other business like answering the e-mail or spending time on social media.

My goal is that I will continue to get in the habit of waking up early and writing everyday to keep the creativity flowing throughout the day.

This post will be a response to Natalie Sisson’s first of her 15 day blog challenge on “Detail Your Daily Success Plan.”

The way you start your morning determines the outcome for the rest of the day.

I will be honest, I have not remain consistent in waking up early and getting some work done because I have allowed myself to sleep in until at times 10 a.m.

I understand the benefits of waking up early as they have been pointed in many articles.

Articles like Dayna Steele’s “The Daily Success Tips” on how waking up early puts anyone ahead of their competition.

Another thing I try to do on a consistent basis is take a 30 minute walk and do some meditation because it always allow me to think clearly of ideas for blog posts and planning out the day.

One habit that I want to get back to is writing a gratitude journal because it is a huge reminder to remain grateful for everything that is happening.

My main goal is to fulfill the plans I laid out earlier this year and to continue to lift people up to make their lives better.

Disclosure: I am an Amazon Affiliate and I receive a commission based on a recommendation. I do not recommend any book if I have not read it first.

I had written earlier this year about starting the new year off right by blogging everyday this month due to a challenge that Natalie Sisson “issued.”

Well, just to let you know, I was way ahead of the challenge as Ms. Sisson actually issued the 15-day blogging challenge starting tomorrow.

When I saw that, I realized that I jumped the gun and was considering waiting until the 15th to actually blog everyday.

However, I decided to keep my promise to you, the reader and continue to blog everyday until the actual challenge begin.

I hope that you will decide to join me on Ms. Sisson’s challenge because it will challenge you to be very creative and also, meet others who have taken on the challenge as well.

And to honor Ms. Sisson, since Wednesdays will be book recommendation day, I will highly recommend Ms. Sisson’s book, “The Suitcase Entrepreneur,” which is still available on Amazon.

The book is really amazing because it gives vivid details on how Ms. Sisson was able to run an online business while traveling the world.

Even though the book is not a first of it’s kind thanks to Tim Ferris’ book, “The Four Hour Workweek,” Ms. Sisson was able to get her book as an Amazon bestseller as a self-published author.

To me, that is amazing and Ms. Sisson is just getting started.

Her goal is to help over 100,000 entrepreneurs be location independent by 2020.

I honestly believe that she is halfway towards her goal.

So if you want to participate in the 15-day blog challenge, you can sign up here.

Have you read “The Suitcase Entrepreneur” and if so, how has the book changed your life? You can leave your comments below.

3 Reasons To Avoid Multi-Level Companies

By Cheval John

The “Great Recession” of 2008 put a dent in the U.S. economy that took a while to recover.

Many were laid off from their positions at places where they believed they would work at until retirement.

After the initial shock, they went into job hunting mode, looking for that same position at a different company, hoping to feed their families and reclaim the American dream.

Thankfully, people are now starting to find jobs whether in their fields or in a place unrelated to their expertise.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate has dropped to 5.6 % in December of last year.

Prior to the month, unemployment was at 5.8 %.

Though that is good news, many others are still trying to find the job of their dreams.

Unfortunately, the desperation of these folks allows many multi-level companies to prey on them because they see an opportunity to take advantage to profit for themselves.

You might wonder what is multi-level marketing?

According to Investopedia, multi-level marketing is a strategy that some direct sales companies use to encourage their existing distributors to recruit new distributors by paying the existing distributors a percentage of their recruits sales.

So for a person who is new to a multi-level company, the only way for them to make money is to meet a sales quota so that they can gain a commission.

They will have to pay for a fee to receive some products or training first before they go out and gain new customers for their products.

People who continue to engage with multi-level companies runs the risk of losing everything because they were at the bottom of the pyramid in the multi-level marketing company.

That is why they will go out and make as many sales as possible so that they will not be caught in that predicament.

An example that will hopefully make you think twice of joining a multi-level company is the Bernie Madoff scandal.

Mr. Madoff ran a pyramid scheme for decades and many people invested in his company hoping to make a return on their investment.

However, his scheme fell apart thanks to the “Great Recession” and as a result, people lost their investment.

In turn, Mr. Madoff was prosecuted for his crimes and is now spending the rest of his life in jail.

If you’re still not convinced, here are three more reasons why you should avoid multi-level companies:

1. You Will Be Deceiving Your Customers

These companies will normally tell their workers not to reveal who they are working for because they understand that people have their suspicions of multi-level companies.

They will try and teach you to be very deceptive when they are selling one of their products or try to recruit them into a scam.

Once you get your prospective client on board with the multi-level company and they end up failing, you will be responsible for their failures.

2. It Ruins The Lives of Families.

People will put their life savings into a multi-level marketing company hoping to make money.

What they end up doing is sacrifice time with their families working everyday trying to gain new prospective clients.

When they finally go broke after dipping into their money for products, they will end up on the street because they failed to make a sale.

As a result, their families suffer.

3. You Will Ruin Your Reputation

When you try to make a sale for a multi-level company by using deception, people will realize that you are not trustworthy and will not want to be associated with you.

They will see you as a thief and will warn their friends about you.

Even if you end up leaving the multi-level marketing company and work for a reputable company, it will be very hard for you to build trust again with your friends and their network because of your deceptive practices when you were associated with a multi-level company.

So if you are struggling to find a job, do whatever you can to avoid multi-level companies because you will avoid all the stress and pressure that is associated with a multi-level company.
